IronSafari 0.1 release
=========================

This distribution contains the IronSafari bundle, a sandbox wrapper for
the popular Apple Safari web client running on MacOS.

We created this for our own needs, but believe that it can be useful for
others as well, and thus released it under the BSD license for everyone
to use.

Included in this distribution you also find "design.txt" a document that
describes both our philosopy as well as more details on what we block or
allow in the IronSafari sandbox wrapper.

This wrapper has been tested on MacOSX 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 with Safari 5.0
but is believed to work with earlier MacOSX 10.6 versions.

There is a configuration file called

    /Applications/IronSafari.app/Contents/Resources/IronSafari.config

that you might want to examine. It defines directories for which to
allow IronSafari read or write access, as well as some add-on features
such as wheter or not the quicktime plugin or java programs should be
allowed to run.

Remember, the sandboxed Safari cannot read or write outside the directories
specified by this file. This is the purpose of the IronSuite tools - to help
protect you against malicious content.
